Phase change material based ventilation module - Numerical study and experimental validation of serial design

There is an increasing demand for innovative, efficient, and environmentally friendly cooling technologies as alternatives to the conventional vapor compression-based technologies. In this study, a theoretical experimental investigation of Phase Change Material (PCM)-based module ventilation system presented. An in-situ application employing considered PCM investigated. A one-dimensional numerical model developed predict dynamic performance PCM-driven system. addition, validated with data collected from hysteresis behavior calibrated. The predicts well, average deviation less than 6% 4% air temperatures, respectively. Parametric analysis conducted assess impact design operational parameters on performance. This includes, volume flow rate, mass phase change temperature interval. Larger found decrease efficiency but increase peak heat transfer. optimal melting 20 °C provided per kg capacity compared reference 22.32 by 38.4% 71.1%, • Investigation operation PCM-based solution systems.
